Ghana defender Rashid Sumaila, trained full throttle with the entire Sundowns team for the first time today since his return to the club.

The 22 year old defender endured a frustrating loan spell with Kotoko following the delay to start the First Capital Plus premier league.

Sumaila had rejoined Kotoko in a bid to remain active after being left out of Sundowns squad for the season, following his failure to secure a purported move abroad.

“I am back and waiting for the next move, I have endured a rough three months but I am sure there is light at the end of the tunnel for me,” Sumaila told Ghanasoccernet.com

The ex-Ebusua Dwarfs and Kotoko defender was a member of Ghana’s world cup squad which failed to win a game in Brazil but has lost his position in the Black Stars following his lack of competitive football.

Despite the loss Sumaila says he is fixed on getting his club career back on track first.

“The national team is for every Ghanaian and once you are doing well you will get a look in. I am bothered more about getting my club career back and we will take it from there.”

It is still unclear if Sundown will loan him out again or keep him since they have exhausted their foreign quota for the season.
