Raphael Onyedika's Club Brugge have claimed a historic Belgian Cup trophy after securing a nervy 2-1 victory against Anderlecht to claim the Croky Cup at the King Baudouin Stadium yesterday, with Romeo Vermant striking twice on the night, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

This triumph means that they have now won the most cup titles, the record holder for the most Belgian Cup wins, claiming their 12th championship in the history of the competition.

The Nigerian international, who has been a pivotal figure for Nicky Hayen's side this season, more memorable in their UCL campaign run, made a return to the team, coming back from suspension to hold the midfield as they emerged victorious on the night.

With a big margin between them and runaway league leaders, Club Brugge now have their place confirmed for the UCL this season as they end the season memorable with the Belgian Cup.
