According to reports as gathered by Nigeriasoccernet.com, Paris Saint-Germain is making a last-ditch attempt to sign Napoli's Victor Osimhen in big blow to Chelsea's plan.

The Ligue 1 champions have been long-time admirers of the Nigerian striker, but their pursuit has been unsuccessful until now. Goncalo Ramos' injury on the opening day of the season has forced PSG to revisit their transfer plans.

Luis Enrique, PSG's manager, is said to be keen on bringing Osimhen to the Parc des Princes as a replacement for Ramos.

Despite PSG's interest, securing a deal for Victor Osimhen from Napoli is proving to be a challenging task.

The Nigerian striker is also attracting attention from other clubs, including Chelsea. The Premier League side has been engaged in discussions with Napoli about a potential loan move with an option to buy for several days and it seems there have ben some kind of headway but with PSG coming forward again, this might prove harmful to the ongoing discussion.

Also, Saudi Arabian club Al-Ahli has made a substantial offer to Napoli for Victor Osimhen, valued at more than €65 million but the player has reportedly turned down the offer as he still wants to remain in Europe.
