Jurgen Klopp has emphasized the demanding time commitments needed of his coaching job, implying that he may take a break from managing in the future.

This comes after previous rumors over the German's future beyond Liverpool Football Club, with a sabbatical from the sport being a possible option once his contract at Anfield expires in 2024.

“What I do is unbelievable fun; I enjoy it very much,” the 54-year-old told RTL/NTV (via Sport Witness).

“The only problem is that, in my job, you don’t have any time off, no chance to switch off.

“Do I really have to have this until old age?”

In previous interviews, the former Dortmund manager had left things open enough, but the club's leadership will need to prepare for the loss of both Sporting Director Michael Edwards and Klopp over the following three years.
