Plateau United secured a narrow 1-0 victory over El-Kanemi Warriors in a Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) matchday six encounter at the New Jos Stadium on Saturday, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

Monday, Gideon's 32nd-minute goal proved to be the difference-maker, earning Plateau United their second win of the season.

With this win, Plateau United climbed to 13th position on the table with six points from five games.

In another match, Bendel Insurance was held to a 1-1 draw by Bayelsa United.

Kayode Oke gave Insurance the lead from the penalty spot just before halftime, but Jawad Mustapha equalized for Bayelsa United five minutes into the second half.
