There is no chance of the NFF will name a substantive Coach for the Super Eagles and perhaps a foreign coach for the Super Falcons any time soon as President of the Nigeria Football Federation stressed the FA is carrying out wider consultations on issues especially funding and payment of salaries.
The World Cup draw is due for next month and since Nigeria failed to qualify for the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations, the FA had placed top priority on the qualification for the 2018 FIFA World Cup.
Amaju disclosed that the Nff was consulting to ascertain the best candidate for the Eagles coaching job with emphasis on Man Management as much as the technical qualities of the candidate. The Football Chief said in a few weeks a decision will be reached but all in time to avoid ‘ repeating mistakes of the past.’
