Kano pillars defender Jamiu Alimi is looking to try and make a move to South Africa's Premier Soccer League from Nigeria.

The centre back is currently plying his trade for Kano Pillars in the Nigerian top flight, however, it appears that he is seeking pastures new once the 2017 campaign comes to an end in September.

Alimi, 24, is likely to see Pillars finish mid-table this year, however, he will be hoping to boost his reputation further after being called up to the Nigerian squad for next month’s Chan qualifier against Benin.

As reported in this week’s issue of Soccer Laduma, the Siya crew has been informed that Alimi is prepared to see out his contract with his club until the end of the Nigerian season, but is then looking to make the move down south to Mzansi and the Absa Premiership.
