Serie A outfit have begun the new season without Nigerian striker, Victor Osimhen in their plan, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

Osimhen who has been a subject of transfer speculations failed to kick a back for the Azzuri in preseason with the club reporting the 25 year-old injured.

However, after his return and active participation in training, the former Lille forward was not listed in Napoli’s first competitive game of the season.

Napoli in the Coppa Italia fixture against Modena played out a goalless draw before wining 5-4 on penalties.

Conte according to reports prefers Chelsea striker, Romelu Lukaku in place of Osimhen and is pushing for his services.
