Former Super Eagles captain, Austin Okocha has unapologetically been rooting for African teams at this year’s World Cup in Qatar with his recent been.

Ghana goes into their final group game against their 2010 quarter-final nemesis Uruguay, needing at least a draw or a win (depending on the outcome of Portugal-S/Korea) to progress in to the next round of the competition.

It’s been a mixed memorable experience for Ghana and Africa at large as Uruguay controversially denied Ghana a spot in the semifinal of the 2010 World Cup and the former Nigerian captain won’t hold back.

“We haven’t forgotten what happened to us here in 2010, the first we had the opportunity to make it to the semifinal and Suarez denied us the opportunity and also baby jet smith,” Okocha recalls.
