Former Super Eagles midfielder, Fegor Ogude has extended his stay with Amkar Perm of Russia, as the tough-tackling star has signed a deal to keep him with the club until 2019.

It means Ogude has taken a bold move to further lay claim to the spotlight with Amkar Perm and consolidate on his previous exploits with the club.

The ex-Warri Wolves star has extended his stay with the midstream Russian side for another two years, with the club’s accepting apparently showing how well the player has progressed since joining the team in 2013.

Ogude’s initial deal was meant to expire in the summer of 2017, but the 28-year-old Africa Cup of Nations winner in 2013 will now remain at Zvezda Stadium till June 2019.

Since arriving from Valerenga of Norway in 2013, Ogude has made a total of 55 appearances for Amkar, but has just four goals to his name.

The ratio, though, is considered fair enough for a battling player who normally lines out as a defensive midfielder or central defender for the Russian side.

However, his disciplinary record still remains a source of concern 24 yellow cards to his name from the three seasons he has spent at the club with a whopping 11 to his name last season.
