Left-winger of AS Monaco since the summer of 2018 and his arrival from Olympique Lyonnais against 20 million euros, Willem Geubbels (20) has played little. A single scorer in 17 matches with the Asémistes, he only took part in 15 matches last year and has increased injuries.
Finally, he has just been loaned to FC Nantes for this season. The Canaries have a purchase option as we can read in a press release: “FC Nantes and AS Monaco have reached an agreement for the loan with option to buy Willem Geubbels, for the 2021/2022 season."
In an official club statement FC Nantes stated that: "For this new season, the 20-year-old will bring all his qualities to the yellow and green squad on the attacking front. Determined to regain playing time, the new FC Nantes striker is ready to take up the Nantes challenge! FC Nantes welcome Willem Geubbels!"
