Nigerian midfielder, Jide Fatokun has left Remo Stars to join Sudanese giants Al-Merrikh on a two-year deal, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

The 26-year-old was a key player for Remo Stars and also featured prominently for the home-based Super Eagles side that qualified for the 2024 African Nations Championship.

Fatokun started both legs of the qualifiers against Ghana's Black Galaxies, and his performances caught the attention of Al-Merrikh.

Remo Stars confirmed Fatokun's departure on their official website, wishing him "the best of luck with the remainder of his career".
