Wijnaldum to Barcelona is confirmed.

A verbal agreement between Barcelona and the Dutch midfielder has been reached. Wijnaldum will join the Catalan club as a free agent with a contract running until June 2024. Wijnaldum is expected to sign his contract in the coming days with and work is still in progress to agree personal terms. Barcelona want to reduce Wijnaldum’s salary due to their financial situation.

Wijnaldum had been linked with a move to FC Bayern in the recent past but this morning transfer Guru Fabrizio Romano confirms Gini will be a Barcelona player next season.
