After two seasons in, Arsenal and 34-year old former Brazilian international centre-back and half-back David Luiz are parting ways on a free move. Equipped with a dual Portuguese citizenship, former Chelsea and PSG star pitcher might end up joining Benfica back.
Gunners manager Mikel Arteta commented: "He has been really helpful, someone that we really like and appreciate so much. So I just say thank you to him, and wish him the best of luck in his next chapter".
