NWFL MD 12: Expect goals against Confluence Queens - Heartland Queens Yetunde Anyantosho talks tough
Heartland Queens outside right, Yetunde Anyantosho has assured that her side will reproduce another thrilling performance at the Watersmeet side, Confluence Queens ahead of NWFL matchday 12 which is scheduled for tomorrow Wednesday at the University Stadium in Iyamho, Auchi, Edo state.
Anyantosho said her teammates especially the attackers are well-oiled to turn their legs nicely this time around unlike the dried first time ever topflight meeting between the premier leaguers on Wednesday, December 06, 2023 at the Dan Anyiam Stadium in Owerri, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.
"I believe Wednesday's match will not be the same as the first term fixture clash that ended goalless right here in Owerri".
"Our coaches are working hard on us the attackers specially and we are keying nicely into the programms".
"And we are playing even better, in the last match against Abia Angels we had four goals from the attacking department, three attackers scored the whole four goals," she added.
"I think we will do even better in the attacking department come Wednesday at Confluence Queens, I believe we are going to win the game".
"Our training of late has centred more on goal scoring, and with what they coaches have instilled in us and as one of the attackers, I am going to try my very best and I believe God will crown my efforts with goals," said the Nigerian cadet goal getter.
The two-leg finisher with the speed of light said her side's prime position on the log is deserving though they are not mouthy about it but will work even harder to ensure the goods are delivered safely.
"I feel great and not surprised with the summit position given the qualities of our coaches and trainings, I am not surprised we are keeping the first position on the table. We work hard and our coaches always tell us 'no pain no gain'. With the powers of prayer and hardwork God has been crowning our efforts with success, so I am not surprised we are keeping the number one spot".
"Though we are getting the right results, we are not mouthy, we are not relenting, we are still pushing harder to do more until we get there finally".
"Of course, yes, I am very sure we are going to make the Super Six cut despite stiff challenges coming from the group's mates. We are not joking about it, we do not care about the others dreams, ours is to get the ticket. Right now the task before us is to go all out to get all the points in the remaining matches and cement the Super Six spot and with hardwork and prayers we will achieve the mark," said the fleetfooted attacker.
Anyantosho claims her knowledge of the hosts is that the side have a great goalkeeper in Silva Echefu but that her teammates will make her look ordinary on matchday.
"The only thing that I know about the team is they have a good goalkeeper but I believe we the attackers are good to go and will show them our real colours, we have done our work and we are winning on Wednesday," enthused the sleek finisher who joined the Owerri landladies in the second term of the season.
Heartland Queens are leading the eight-team Group A log on 21 points one above closest challengers, Nasarawa Amazons.
