NPFL'23: Maikaba lauds players for win against Doma; targets away points
Following their hard-fought win over Doma United, Enugu Rangers gaffer, Abdul Maikaba has heaped some praises to his players while giving credit to Doma United goalie, Nigeriasoccernet.com gathered.
Doma United gave a good fight against their host but eventually lost by a lone goal in the fiercely contested match day 7 of the Nigeria Premier Football League.
“It was a good game that would have seen more goals from my boys but for some good goalkeeping from the opponents," Maikaba said after the game.
"I congratulate my team for this win as we try to overcome our difficult start."
The win was their second this season and with a trip to Yenagoa next for a date with Bayelsa United, Maikaba wants his team to start picking points on the road.
"I am encouraged by this performance and believe that very soon, we shall start picking points on the road.”
A Chidera Ezeh’s well-taken spot-kick in 38 minutes was all the Flying Antelopes to pick the maximum points against their visitors at the Awka Stadium.
