Ikorodu United have mathematically been relegated from the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) after their five-match unbeaten run was ended in Jos yesterday by Plateau United.

Plateau United defeated the Oga Boys by a lone goal which meant the Lagos team stays on 32 points with just two more games to play this season.

The goal that  confirmed that Ikorodu United will be playing in the Nigeria National League (NNL) next season came from Kelechi John who headed in Bright Silas’ cross early in the first half of the game played at the Rwang Pam Stadium.
