Nasarawa United earned their first win to the 2024/2025 Nigeria Premier Football League season with a win over newly promoted, Ikorodu City on Saturday, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

The Oga Boys side search for a first win continues after the Ikon Allah Boys defeated them 2-1 at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena, Onikan Stadium.

With no win recorded, the two sides went into the game seeking to get their first maximum points and it was the visitors who broke the deadlock after almost 45 minutes of action.

Captain and last week hattrick hero, Anas Yusuf of gave Nasarawa United the lead, but Thankgod Chilaka restored parity with Ikorodu City first goal of the league season three minutes later to end the half 1-all.

Kabiru Balogun scored on 66th minute from a direct free-kick which sealed the win for the northerners who get their first win of the season away from home.
