Former champions Enyimba FC returned to winning ways courtesy of a 2-1 win over Ikorodu City on Sunday in Aba, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

It took a late winner from Moses Adukwu for the People's Elephant to edge the Oga Boys side at the Enyimba International Stadium.

After going three matches without a win, the league giants started like a house on fire scoring after 6 minutes of play.

Ifeanyi Ihemekwele scored from Nwaodu's pass.

However, it was the only goal that was scored after 45 minutes following a daring performance from the visitors

The second half saw 2 late goals scored by both sides after almost 45 minutes of play.

Ajeyigbe Toyeeb slammed home a cross from Chineme Chinonso to bring Ikorodu City level with a minute left to the end of the game.

But Adukwu saved the day for Enyimba with a goal after 2 minutes of additional to earn them a hard-fought win on the day.

The win keeps Enyimba FC in 3rd with 17 points while Ikorodu City is 18th with 8 points.
