Switching from a Nigeria National League side to a Premier League team is always seen as a big achievement for Nigeria players but moving to a club as big a s Enyimba is always a dream come through for all.
One of the biggest winners of the January transfer window is Alade Balogun who moved from NNL side, Smart City FC of Lagos to Enyimba FC of Aba.
The former MFM FC forward who joined Smart City FC after the Olukoya Boys got relegated has been praying for a big move and this January, his dream materialise as he joined the league defending champions till the end of the season with an option to extend.
Speaking exclusively on the move to Nigeriasoccernet.com, Balogun says:
"I feel so happy and grateful to God for making it possible.
"Playing my first game and even in the starting lineup for Enyimba FC, and with the fact that the fans are getting to know me more and I also thank God for not disappointing them on my debut," he said.
Alade Balogun is not just elated for joining Enyimba, he wants to achieve a lot with them this season and beyond.
"I want to score goals and help the team win the league and also qualify for CAF Champions League and many more by the grace of God."
Alade will hope he gets his first goal for the Aba Blues when they visit Benin for a date with Bendel Insurance on Saturday.
