Kwara United head coach, Kabiru Dogo stated that his team’s performance is an improvement from their painful defeat to Shooting Stars last week, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

He then went ahead to praise his team for an impressive display against the Group A leaders.

Although Bendel Insurance remain unbeaten after their matchday 13 fixture in the Nigeria Professional Football League against Kwara United, but the host needed to settle for a 1-1 draw at the Samuel Ogbomodia Stadium.

Kwara United who were coming from a 1-0 defeat at home to Shooting Stars, took the lead in the 69th minute through Mohammed Alao.

The Benin Arsenal then rallied round to get an equalizer through Deputy Echeta in the 78th minutes.

“I’m proud of the boys’ display in this game, we will continue to work hard to improve our performance as we approach the end of the season.

“It’s no doubt a big improvement from the defeat against Shooting Stars last week,” he said during the post match interview.

The draw keeps the Afonja Warriors 8th on the Group A Log, five points away from relegation deep but faces Enyimba next.
