Katsina United bounced back from two consecutive defeats and a draw with a hard-fought 3–2 victory over Enyimba in their NPFL clash on Monday at the Rasheedi Yekini Stadium, Ilorin, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

The Gwagware Boys delivered a spirited performance, with goalkeeper Zalli Abdullahi standing out after pulling off four crucial saves to keep his side in control for much of the encounter. His impressive shot-stopping proved decisive as Katsina United secured maximum points against the People’s Elephant.

Katsina opened the scoring in the 32nd minute when youngster Jamilu Yusuf headed in a well-delivered cross from Mubarak Sani. A midfield error from Enyimba later allowed Katsina United to double their lead through Uche Collins, who capitalized on the mix-up in the 55th minute.

Enyimba responded three minutes later, pulling a goal back through Stanley Dimgba, who finished off a swift attacking move. The joy was short-lived, however, as Katsina restored their two-goal cushion just two minutes later when Uche Collins completed his brace with a powerful header.

Enyimba kept fighting and reduced the deficit again in the 67th minute through Nweke Kalu, who scored and assisted the first goal for the visitors. His strike brought his tally to three goals this season, but it was not enough to rescue a point.

Katsina United held firm in the closing stages to seal an important 3–2 win, lifting them to 8th place on the NPFL standings while Enyimba FC dropped to 14th position.
