Plateau United's technical adviser, Oluwasola Adegun, has welcomed the appointment of Albert Hilary as the team's new captain, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

Hilary takes over from Daniel Itodo, who joined Rangers International FC from the Jos Club.

Adegun praised Hilary, saying he embodies the characteristics required to lead the team.

"They see how Hilary brings them together, how he communicates, and of course, being a son of the soil who understands what this club means, he embodies Plateau United. That’s why they’ve trusted him with this responsibility,” coach Adegun explained

Hilary surely has a big role to play as his predecessor spent 12 years also, Hilary joined the team five years ago.
