In an impressive display at the Akure Township Stadium on Saturday, Sunshine head coach, Kennedy Boboye has praised his players for their efforts, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.
The Owena Waves secured a commanding 3-1 victory over Plateau United,
Sodiq Ibrahim shone with a brace, while Yusuf Ibrahim sealed the deal with another goal.
Despite Albert Hilary's consolation goal for Plateau United, the dominance of the Owena Waves was evident throughout the match.
In a post-match interview, Owena Waves' coach Boboye expressed his satisfaction with his team's performance, urging them to maintain their hard work and dedication in upcoming fixtures.
"It was an interesting game for us all, I’m glad we won convincingly and I must commend my players for doing a great job," said Boboye.
The job based team is a familiar foe to Boboye as the former Akwa United manager guided the Peace to league success in 2017.
