NPFL: Barau FC adopt Sani Abacha Stadium for 2025/2026
Newly promoted, Kano-based Barau FC have announced via their social media accounts that they will be adopting the Sani Abacha Stadium, Kofar Mata, as their home ground for the 25/26 (NPFL) season, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

According to Barau FC Chairman, Ibrahim Shitu Chanji, the relocation became paramount due to ongoing renovations at their home stadium, Dambatta Stadium.
In a statement issued by the club’s Media Officer, Ahmad Hamisu Gwale, while speaking with Arewa Radio, the decision followed approval from the Kano State Ministry of Youth and Sports.
The Maliya Boys will play their first ever top-flight game at the Sani Abacha against Enyimba on match day one
