Abia Warriors have shifted their focus to their upcoming Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) clash against league leaders, Remo Stars, after securing a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Bayelsa United in Umuahia over the weekend.

The win marked their third consecutive triumph in the league, boosting their confidence ahead of Wednesday’s crucial fixture in Ikenne.

Speaking with the club’s media, team captain Augustine Njoku expressed confidence in their ability to secure a positive result against Remo Stars.

"As they say, victory begets victory. We are now three games unbeaten, and we have claimed maximum points in all three. We know the game in Ikenne will be tough, but we are prepared to fight for the maximum three points. With God on our side, we can do it," Njoku stated.

"I believe in my team. We have worked very hard, and I am confident we can secure another win."

Meanwhile, Umu Chineke has already arrived in Ikenne, Ogun State, ahead of what promises to be an intense encounter against the table-topping Remo Stars.
