Enugu Rangers' Coach, Abdul Maikaba has showed optimism towards his team getting to winning ways away from home after their second win of the season against Doma United, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

The former FA Cup title winner has endured a torrid start to the season after seven matches, but can look at the brighter side after edged newly promoted, Doma United by a Chidera Ezeh's goal from the penalty spot at the Awka City Stadium, Awka.

The win delights the former Enyimba Coach who states that the goals from team should have been more if not for the good defending from their opponents.

“It was a good game that would have seen more goals from my boys but for some good goalkeeping from the opponents," said Maikaba.

"I congratulate my team for this win as we try to overcome our difficult start.

Rangers are yet to win away from home this season after two wins, two draws and three losses, but the Coach believes very soon they will start getting maximum points away from home.

"I am encouraged by this performance and believe that very soon, we shall start picking points on the road.”

They should be playing continental representatives, Rivers United on Wednesday in Porthacourt in their next match.
