Reports already emerged five days ago of the 27-year-old not being in the plan of the Reds for the 2025/2026 English Premier League season.
The Nigerian Super Eagles striker joined from Watford for £10million in 2022 following a great season with Watford, with a 16-goal contribution.
However, his spell has been underwhelming, playing 25 times in three years for Nottingham Forest and scoring twice.
He spent the majority of the last few years out on loan at Istanbul Basaksehir, former club Watford, and Blackburn Rovers.
