NNL: Madiba FC impeccable run continues with win over Smart City
Madiba FC extended their unbeaten run to 7 in the Nigeria National League after earning win over Smart City at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena, Onikan, Lagos, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.
The Oshodi Boys edged their fellow Lagos State club 3-2 to continue from where they left it last year in the Conference B standings.
Chukwudi Ekeocha opened score for Smart City as early as the 7th minute, but Fasina Samson levelled matters at the stroke of half time to end the first half 1-1.
In the second half, it was Madiba who drew the first blood scoring in the 61 minute from a free-kick through Adaralegbe Temitope, but it was cancelled 15 minutes later to put the score at 2-2 as Ekeocha scores his brace.
As the tie came to it closing stages, substitute Anthony Ndubuisi stole the 3 points for the Oshodi Boys who remain top and undefeated with a 6 wins and a draw.
