Nigerian Star Echiejile Celebrates Onazi’s Wedding
SS Lazio of Italy midfielder, Eddy Ogenyi Onazi has gained sweet words from national team colleague, Elderson Uwa Echiejile, who on Thursday sent a pleasant pre-wedding message to his pal.
With Onazi’s wedding to his partner, Sandra Ogunsuyi holding this Saturday, June 18, in Lagos, Echiejile is quick to set the stage for goodwill messages in favour of the Super Eagles alternate captain. Onazi had a successful debut as Eagles’ stand-in captain with two victories from international friendlies against Mali and Luxembourg at the end of last month, but that will not be the focus this weekend, when he takes Sandra down the aisle.
Nonetheless, Echiejile, who plays for AS Monaco of France and was also part of the Eagles’ double-win in Rouen, France and Luxembourg, is expected to be part of the ceremony and join in extended joy with Onazi and his heartthrob.
The 23-year-old silver medallist at Nigeria 2009 FIFA U-17 World Cup, who has summer transfer links with Werder Bremen of Germany, Trabzonspor of Turkey as well as Swansea City and Everton of England, has hit court wedding on December 29, 2015.
For now, though, all attention is focused on Saturday for Onazi, who scored twice in 20 appearances for eighth-placed Lazio in the Serie A in the past season.
Echiejile stated in his tweet: “Today marks your journey to marital life, may it always be glorious and beautiful. Congrats mate #EUE3.”
