Nigeria midfielder Sunday Stephen has joined the growing list of Nigerians in the USA MLS as he signed a-two-year-deal with Real Salt Lake.

Hassan Egilmez, who brokered the deal, said the player is very happy and looks forward to a new challenge.

"Sunny (Sunday Stephen) has signed a-two-year-deal with Real Salt Lake in the MLS,” Egilmez said.

"He signed the contract on Thursday and he is excited about the deal, he is eager to face a new challenge in the USA."

Stephen is already looking forward to a successful season.

"I am very happy and excited to join Real Salt Lake, a club with a winning history in MLS,” said the midfielder.

"I look forward to a successful season, challenging myself to meeting my new teammates and the fans in Salt Lake. I am coming to challenge myself in a competitive league and win titles."

The 27-year-old striker has played for Polideportivo Ejido, Valencia, Osasuna, Real Betis, Numancia (all in Spain), Bnei Sakhnin (Israel), CSKA Sofia(Bulgaria) and Alanyaspor (Turkey).
