Nigeria football which is just trying to recover from the death two of its greatest Coaches in Shuaibu Amodu and Stephen Okechukwu Keshi has again been hit be the reported death of former school boy international Peter Ogaba.

Chris Giwa led NFF has already described the death of Ogaba, as shocking and wish the family the fortitude to bear the loss. His teammates and others like Tijani Babangida have also been reracting, describing the passage of the then star midfielder as unbelievable.

Ogaba was the youngest player at the FIFA U-16 World Cup tagged Canada ’87. Ogaba, was again the youngest Nigerian player at the FIFA U-20 world tournament hosted by Saudi Arabia in 1989 is dead.

Ogaba was part of the squad that lost in the final to eventual winners, Portugal. Ogaba is famously the youngest player to feature at the FIFA U-16 World at Canada ’87 where Nigeria lost at the second stage to the Soviet Union.

Ogaba played for the likes of Boldklub Hostelbus, Desportivo Club Beja and Lokeren in Europe. Ogaba died at his residence in Abuja after a brief illness. He was until his death Coach of an Abuja based side City Strikers FC.
