Enyimba midfielder Kingsley Sokari is confident that the Dream Team VI will begin their campaign at the 2015 All - Africa Games with a victory against Ghana U23s on Wednesday.

As the tournament is outside Fifa's window for international matches, Coach Samson Siasia will not field a full strength squad, with Abdullahi Shehu (Uniao de Madeira) and Saviour Godwin (KV Oostende) withdrawing from the roster at the last minute.

''We are expecting a good game and a victory against Ghana tomorrow. Nigeria and Ghana has not been an easy game but I believe in this team,'' Kingsley Sokari told News24.

''We have good coaches and good players despite the two unavailable professionals. We will do well and also win the tournament.''

The 20 - year - old added: ''There are no specific players in the Ghana squad we plan to pay special attention to, the whole team will be watched.

''Winning the gold, that's all what we desire and we are working hard for it.''

Nigeria last won the football event at the All - Africa Games in 1973 and finished second when the country hosted the competition 12 years ago.
