Niger Tornadoes head coach Mohammed Majin has expressed disappointment over his team’s performance following a 2-0 loss to Nasarawa United in their Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) Matchday 22 encounter Nigeriasoccernet.com can report.

Speaking after the game, Majin admitted that his players failed to meet expectations.

"I'm really surprised that my boys weren't at their best today. Perhaps they underestimated Nasarawa United," he said.

The coach acknowledged Nasarawa United’s determination, stating that their opponents wanted the victory more and came out stronger.

"The result shows that Nasarawa United needed the points more than we did. They came out strong from the first whistle, putting us under immense pressure."

An early goal unsettled Niger Tornadoes, making it difficult for them to mount a comeback.

"We conceded an early goal, and before we knew it, it became increasingly difficult to recover as the game progressed," Majin concluded.

The loss marks a setback for Niger Tornadoes, who will now need to regroup ahead of their next fixture.
