"?Newcastle United could be set to benefit from manager Rafael Benitez's relationship with Liverpool, with loan deals for Reds players a possibility during the summer transfer window.

"?The Chronicle Live reported that the Magpies could potentially bring in loanees from the Anfield-based club before the window shuts in September.

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp is said to have a good relationship with his Spanish counterpart.

And the Championship outfit could profit from Benitez's positive rapport with Klopp, as well as his ties to Liverpool.

The two clubs agreed and confirmed a deal for Gini Wijnaldum on Friday, with the player joining Liverpool in a £25m deal. The midfielder has signed a five-year contract worth £75,000 a week, and will now join Liverpool's first-team squad for pre-season training in the US.

Rumours speculated that a player-plus-cash deal would be thrashed out by the pair, but those reports are not thought to have any truth to them.

But future loan signings from Liverpool could be on the cards for Benitez and Newcastle, with Klopp keen to hand some of his young starlets first-team football elsewhere. Benitez has already brought in six new faces to his first-team squad as he plots an immediate return to the Premier League.

The former Napoli and Real Madrid head coach is believed to be eyeing a striker and a winger to complete his summer spending.

The Chronicle claims, though, that Benitez could also make a move from Liverpool midfielder Lucas Leiva. The Brazil international is down the pecking order under Klopp on Merseyside, and could link up with the man who originally brought him to England.

Wijnaldum has joined Loris Karius, Sadio Mane, Joel Matip, Alex Manninger and Marko Grujic as Liverpool's seventh arrival of the summer after leaving St. James' Park.
