Plateau United, has appointed Albert Hilary as its new captain for the 2025-26 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) season, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

The club confirmed the appointment on Saturday, with Hilary succeeding Daniel Itodo, who departed after 12 years with the team.

The appointment is part of Plateau United's rebuilding process ahead of the new season.

After a defeat to Wikki Tourists in their opening match, Plateau United will host Katsina United at the New Jos Stadium on Sunday in their matchday two fixture.
