Nigeria's Terem Moffi was on the score sheet for OGC Nice in their Round of 16 second leg encounter against Rasheed Akanbi's Sheriff Tiraspol on Thursday night, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

Moffi scored his first UEFA Europa Conference League goal for OGC Nice in their 3-1 win against Sheriff at the  Allianz Riviera Stadium.

Gaëtan Laborde opened score for the French Ligue 1 outfit in the 30th minute after a pass from Khephren Thuram which he loops over the goalkeeper.

The Super Eagles striker's goal came 8 minutes into the second period of the game after a pass from Pablo Rosario to beat two defenders before hitting it with his left foot at the right hand corner of the net.

However, Sheriff scored through Abdoul Tapsoba a minute later to reduce the deficit following a poor headed clearance which Tapsoba capitalised on to slot between Schmeichel’s legs.

Billal Brahimi restored the two goal lead in the 78th minute to give Nice a 4-1 aggregate win after Moffi's shot had hit the bar as the Algerian tucked the rebound into an empty net.

Moffi has made 6 contributions in goal for Nice with 4 goals and 2 assists. His countryman Rasheed Akanbi of Sheriff played for 90 minutes.

OGC Nice has now qualified for the quarter-final of a European competition for the first time since 1960.
