Houston Dash has secured forward Super Falcons Michelle Alozie with a new two-year contract extension, effective January 1, 2025.

Alozie is among four Dash players who recently signed contract extensions following the new collective bargaining agreement between the NWSL and NWSL Players Association, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

Jessica O’Neill said. “We are also proud of everything Michelle has accomplished off the field and her contributions to our community. Her work in cancer research is remarkable and highlights the vast interests our players bring to the team.”

Alozie joined the Dash as a temporary replacement player in 2021 and subsequently signed a permanent contract. The Nigerian international previously extended her contract through the 2024 season. Her latest agreement, a two-year contract extension, will keep her in Houston through the 2026 season.

The new contract includes a mutual option for the 2027 NWSL regular season.
