Medeama SC striker Nathaniel Asamoah has fired a stern warning to his former club as the Porcupine Warriors trek to Tarkwa with their reputation once again on the line in the Ghanaian Premier League.
Kotoko have set on a redemption course against Medeama as a pacifier for their fans following the 2015 President Cup defeat against rivals Hearts of Oak on July 1.
But Medeama, who slipped to a narrow loss at New Edubiase United in Obuasi last weekend, have targeted a win over the title-holders to push further for a top four entrance.
And, Asamoah, who has bagged 13 goals in the league for Medeama and played for Kotoko four seasons ago, says the tie is one of the most important games for his season.
"It is a really special game for me. I have been looking forward to it and at the end of the game we will see what happens," he told Accra-based Oman FM.
The Yellow and Mauves held Asante Kotoko to a 1-1 draw in the first-leg tie at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in March.
