MARSEILLE approaching French playmaker GUENDOUZI

Playing for Hertha Berlin since early October, on a loan spell from Arsenal, 22-year old French central midfielder Matteo Guendouzi, currently recovering from an injury, is apparently almost over with his German tenure. To this end, according to Le10Sport, the 1999-born playmaker is growing into a major target for Olympique de Marseille, which might either side him to Michaël Cuisance, if buying him back from Bayern Munich, or have Guendouzi replace him.
Still on a parent-club deal with Gunners until June 2022, PSG and Lorient alumni is hardly meant to be included back in North London giants plan. Previously inquired about by such clubs as Barcelona FC and Juventus, Guendouzi, now roughly worth 20 million euros, about 150% less, according to Transfermarkt.de, than his December 2019 market value peak, is now likely to start back from a B-lister long-term plan.
