Manchester United’s first-team squad will resume training on Friday after being given Thursday off following Wednesday’s 4-1 defeat by Como.
The decision to allow the players a day away from training was made to aid their physical recovery, according to ESPN, which cited sources.
Michael Carrick’s side suffered a disappointing loss in Italy, with Como claiming a convincing victory in front of their home supporters.
Manchester United’s next match is on Sunday, 25 October, when they face Bournemouth in the Premier League.
The club currently sit 13th in the English league table.
