Maduka Okoye sets sights on AFCON glory with Nigeria
Maduka Okoye, the Super Eagles goalkeeper, has expressed strong confidence in Nigeria's potential to reach the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations final and possibly lift the trophy, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.
The Udinese shot-stopper, set to feature against Rwanda, emphasized the importance of capitalizing on the immense talent within the squad under interim coach Augustine Eguavoen.
In a conversation with Victor Modo, Okoye described the tournament as a significant moment for the team and the country. “This is the moment I’ve been waiting for. I’ve been attending camp for a long time now, and finally, I have the chance to play again,” Okoye said. Grateful for the opportunity, he is eager to deliver a top performance.
