Ademola Lookman, Achraf Hakimi of Morocco, Goalkeeper Ronwen Williams of South Africa, Simon Adingra of Cote D'Ivoire, and Serhou Guirassy of Guinea have all made the shortlist of the 2024 CAF Player of the Year Award.
The Atalanta BC player has been in superb form in the calendar year for both club and country, contributing to his teams' successes.
However, Nigeria Super Eagles captain and central defender William Troost-Ekong didn't make the shortlist despite emerging as the best player at the last African Cup of Nations held in Cote D'Ivoire.
Meanwhile, Super Eagles goalkeeper Stanley Nwabali made the shortlist for the Goalkeeper of the Year award as the Nigeria National Team made the nominated list for the National Team of The Year Award
The prestigious ceremony is scheduled to take place in Marrakech, Morocco, on 16 December.
