"?Liverpool have devised a cunning plan to beat Premier League rivals Spurs to the signature of Norwich ace Jacob Murphy, according to the "?Daily Mirror.

The 21-year-old has impressed at Carrow Road this term and has caught the eye of a host of top flight clubs.

Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino is said to be interested, but that hasn't deterred Jurgen Klopp's Reds becoming the front-runners for his signature.

And the German believes he and his team of trusty board members have come up with a plan to edge out the White Hart Lane outfit.

The Anfielders are expected to launch a move for the winger-cum-forward and believe by loaning him back to Norwich for the rest of the season, they will edge out Tottenham.

Murphy, who has five goals and five assists in the Championship this term, has long been in the sights of Premier League outfits. The Englishman has caught the eye due to the fact he and his twin brother, Josh, are both professional footballers.

While on the pitch, former manager Chris Hughton told the twins to wear different coloured boots so that he could tell them apart.
