Monaco won 2-1 against Troyes on Sunday, bouncing back from Champions League elimination to claim their first Ligue 1 victory of the season. Sofiane Diop scored both goals.
Monaco paid a visit to Troyes four days after returning from Ukraine, where they were eliminated in the last round of Champions League qualification by Shakhtar Donetsk.
In the 40th minute, Aurelien Tchouameni, 21, who was called up to the France team for the first time on Wednesday, produced an opportunity and found Wissam Ben Yedder, who then set up Diop, who was alone in front of the empty goal.
Troyes equalized through an own goal by Ruben Aguilar. After being set up by Youssouf Fofana in the 58th minute, Diop restored Monaco's advantage.
Monaco moved up to 13th place, while Troyes dropped to last.
