Levante Las Planas Signs Ngozi Okobi
Spanish Iberdrola side, Levante Las Planas have signed midfielder, Ngozi Okobi-Okeoghene until June 2023, Nigeriasoccernet.com can report.
The signing is coming just after 1-week the club released another Nigerian Onome Ebi after she failed to impress.
The 29-year-old joins coach Ferran Cabello's side to make the squad stronger as they seek to stay off the relegation zone after amassing 15 points which leaves them 13th on the log, three places away from the drop zone.
Okobi tells of what she can bring to the team: "I’m a midfielder, but I’m an offensive player. I score goals, I give assists. I think I’ll be able to contribute my skills, especially as an assistant, maybe more than as a goalscorer. I think it’s the differentiating fact that I can bring the most to Levante Las Planas”.
The Super Falcons star ended five-year spell with Eskilstuna United in November to team up with Rita Chikwelu with other Nigerians in Spain like Charity Adule of Alhama, Asisat Oshoala of Barcelona, Gift Monday of Tenerife, Osinachi Ohale of Deportivo Alavas as well Toni Payne of Sevilla and Rashedat Ajibade of Atletico Madrid.
She will don the red shirt for her maiden game against Charity Adule's Alhama on Saturday other things being equal.
