"?Leicester City may have won the Premier League title with a bunch of bricklayers and teachers being paid about a fiver a match (is that not the narrative?), but that might be about to change drastically over the coming summer.

"?The Mirror report that the Foxes' title-winning stars are looking to get their hands on a bit of that sweet Champions League money and, with the Premier League's gargantuan new TV deal coming into effect next season, a number of players are said to be angling for six-figure pay packets.

The club's owners are planning on starting talks over new contracts with a number of the title-winning squad over the next month or so, but could be in for a nasty shock when various players' wage demands are revealed.

Jamie Vardy signed a new contract in February, which made him the club's highest earner at £80,000-a-week, but it's thought that the team actually securing the title and Champions League football next season could drive wages for his teammates even higher.

Most of the club's players are currently earning weekly wages in the region of £30,000-£40,000, but stars like Riyad Mahrez and N'Golo Kante - if he wants to stay at the club at all - look like being able to name their prices for new deals after spectacular campaigns this season.

The likes of Marc Albrighton, Kasper Schmeichel, Danny Drinkwater and Wes Morgan could also be in line for hefty pay rises, which could pose a problem for the club going forward as they try to keep in line with Financial Fair Play rules - with their Championship finances still being investigated a couple of years on.
