Defending champions, Rangers International sank once again this season this time at home against Kano Pillars in their Nigeria Premier Football League match day 7 encounter, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

The Flying Antelopes saw their wings clipped by the Sai Masu Gida side from Kano Pillars in a match that ended 3-4 at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium, Enugu on Wednesday.

The game started as an onslaught with Pillars ready to roast the Antelopes on a platter for dinner, scoring four goals in the first 45 minutes of the tie.

Ever reliable midfielder, Rabiu Ali opened score for the visitors from the spot on 19 minutes.

Zulkifilu Muhammed doubled the score for Pillars on 29 minutes after good work from Ahmed Musa to set him up.

Ali with his second from the spot after Ahmed Musa was fouled in the opponents' box made the scoreline 3-0 on 41 minutes.

A superb individual play by Ahmed Musa who went all alone to score for Kano Pillars on 45 minutes gave Pillars a 4-0 lead at the end of the first half.

The champions reduced the deficit a minute into the second phase of the game through a goal by Isaac Saviour.

Saviour scored on 59 minutes to reduce Pillars' lead to two.

On 90 minutes, substitute Silas Nenrot made it 3-4 for the champions to give the hosts hope for a comeback, but it was not to be as the Northerners took the day.

It is two consecutive losses for Rangers International who have 10 points from 7 games while Kano Pillars who return to winning ways with their first away win have 10 points after matches.
