Joselu leaves Tyneside
Joselu has become the latest player to leave Newcastle United with the 29-year-old Spanish striker completing a permanent transfer to La Liga side Alaves.
Joselu moved to Tyneside from Stoke City in August 2017 and scored seven goals in 52 appearances in all competitions for the Magpies.
Earlier in his career, Joselu starred for Real Madrid, Celta Vigo, Hoffenheim, Eintracht Frankfurt, Hannover and Deportivo La Coruna.
Newcastle have not signed any players since the end of last season while manager Rafa Benitez has also left the club following the end of his contract.
Mo Diame was released at the end of last term, while Ayoze Perez was sold to Leicester City earlier this month.
Meanwhile, reports suggest Steve Bruce is set to be appointed Newcastle manager after the 58-year-old resigned as head coach of Sheffield Wednesday.
Bruce had only been in charge at Hillsborough since February and the Owls finished 12th in the Championship last term.
Newcastle held talks with Bruce on Saturday with the former Manchester United defender being quoted as saying on Sunday: "Speculation is speculation. It's in the hands of the clubs. For me, there's nothing to talk about until the two clubs reach some sort of compromise."
Bruce has been in charge of 10 clubs during his managerial career, including Sunderland.
Newcastle can currently be backed at 11/4 to be relegated from the Premier League in the 2019/20 season while they are 29/10 to beat Arsenal on the opening weekend of the campaign.
