Nigeria Super Eagles midfielder, Joe Aribo will be playing in the English Premier League next season after his side, Southampton emerge winners of the playoff on Sunday, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

A goal by Adams Armstrong sealed a 1-0 win against Leeds United in the final game of the playoff to ensure the Saints' return to English topflight football at the Wembley Stadium.

Adam Armstrong scored the decisive goal with a clinical finish after being put clear by Will Smallbone on 24 minute of the game.

Southampton is heading back up to the lucrative Premier League alongside Leicester and Ipswich, which took the automatic promotion spots in the Championship.

Aribo who started Sunday's game and received a 12 minute yellow card was a key player for Southampton in the playoffs, starting all the three matches contested by the Saints.

He scored 4 goals in 40 of the matches he played for Southampton this season.
